The 2025 Ford Mustang GT3 No. 65, fielded by Ford Multimatic Motorsports, competed in the GTD PRO class at the Michelin GT Challenge at Virginia International Raceway (VIR). Driven by German racing star Christopher Mies and Belgian driver Frédéric Vervisch, the No. 65 finished seventh in class, completing all 81 laps of the 2-hour-and-40-minute race. Its 5.4-liter naturally aspirated Coyote-based V8 engine produces approximately 550 horsepower, delivering the unmistakable sound and performance of Ford's legendary Mustang heritage. Developed in collaboration with Multimatic, the GT3 features a lightweight carbon-fiber body, sophisticated aerodynamic package, and rear-mounted transaxle for improved weight distribution. Earlier in 2025, this same No. 65 Mustang made history by capturing Ford's first global GT3 victory with an impressive GTD PRO class win at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
