The Peugeot 9X8 is a hypercar prototype developed by Peugeot Sport, the racing division of the French automotive manufacturer Peugeot. The 9X8 was unveiled in July 2021 and marks Peugeot's return to endurance racing after a decade-long absence.

The Peugeot 9X8 is a hybrid-powered race car that is designed to compete in the Le Mans Hypercar class, which is the top tier of endurance racing. The car is powered by a 2.6-liter twin-turbo V6 engine combined with an electric motor, which together produces over 670 horsepower. The car also features an innovative four-wheel-drive system that allows for independent power delivery to each wheel.

The exterior of the Peugeot 9X8 is designed with aerodynamics in mind, with a distinctive nose and a large rear wing to provide downforce. The car also features a unique cockpit design, with a wraparound windshield that extends over the top of the driver's head to improve visibility.

The Peugeot 9X8 is set to make its racing debut in the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship, including the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The car was driven by a talented lineup of drivers, including Kevin Magnussen, Gustavo Menezes, and Loic Duval. This endurance race, which takes place in Japan, is known for its challenging circuit and unpredictable weather conditions. However, what set this particular race apart was the fact that it marked Peugeot's return to endurance racing after a decade-long absence.
