This is the Ford England Taunus 20M RS (P7B) #1 Winner 1969 Rally East African Safari in 1:18 scale by MCG.

At the 1969 East African Safari Rally, the Ford England Taunus 20M RS (P7B) #1 driven by Robin Hillyar and co-driver John “Jock” Aird claimed overall victory in one of the toughest rally events in the world. Hillyar and Aird combined seasoned navigation with steady speed to conquer a brutal route of over 5,000 km through Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, where rough roads, deep river crossings, frequent mechanical punishment, and unpredictable weather demanded resilience as much as pace. What sets the East African Safari Rally apart from most other rallies is its sheer scale and severity — often described as the world’s toughest rally — with long competitive stages across rural terrain and virtually no room for error, making success there a hallmark of durability and driver-crew endurance rather than just outright speed.

This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. These diecast
models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Interior detail is hand assembled and easily
visible. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for a most
authentic replication.
