The No.7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid of Toyota Gazoo Racing finished a hard-fought second overall at the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans with drivers Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi, and Nyck de Vries. The trio combined experience, speed, and consistency to battle at the front throughout the race against fierce Hypercar competition. What set the GR010 Hybrid apart from other race cars was its advanced hybrid all-wheel-drive system, pairing a twin-turbo V6 engine with electric motor assistance for incredible traction, acceleration, and energy efficiency over long stints. Combined with Toyota’s renowned reliability and aerodynamic stability, the car remained one of the most complete and technically sophisticated endurance prototypes in the world, capable of performing at the limit for a full 24 hours.
