The 2022 Ford Puma Rally1 made its debut at the Rallye Monte Carlo and was driven by the team of Gus Greensmith and Elliott Edmondson. This was the first time that Ford had participated in the FIA World Rally Championship since 2012, and the Puma Rally1 was the first hybrid rally car built to WRC regulations. The car was powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and an electric motor, producing a combined output of 380 horsepower. The hybrid system provided additional power and torque, improving the car's performance on the demanding rally stages.
