Cadillac is a division of General Motors (GM) that markets luxury vehicles worldwide. By the time GM purchased the company in 1909, Cadillac had already established itself as one of America's premier luxury carmakers. The Series 341A was first shown at the New York Automobile Salon on December 2nd, 1927. The 1928 line of cars received a new, larger V8 engine to replace the original one that dated back to 1915 and a longer chassis. This was a good year for the marque; production totaled 20,001 for the year. No fewer than 42 standard body styles by Fisher or Fleetwood were listed in the catalog for 1928. The 1928 was also the year that famous designer, Harley Earl, joined GM and put his first touch on the Cadillac line, and the Series 341 in particular. The price was from $3350 to $5500, depending on the body style ordered, and 18,004 units of Series 341s were ever built.
