The Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 W17 No. 12, driven by Italian rising star Andrea Kimi Antonelli, claimed a memorable victory at the 2026 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka. Starting from pole position, Antonelli overcame a difficult getaway that dropped him to sixth before making a determined recovery and capitalizing on a Safety Car period to take the lead. He went on to win by 13.722 seconds over Oscar Piastri, securing his second consecutive Grand Prix victory and becoming the youngest driver in Formula One history to lead the World Drivers' Championship. The W17 features Mercedes' advanced 2026 hybrid power unit and the team's latest aerodynamic technology. This No. 12 victory edition celebrates a landmark achievement in Antonelli's young Formula One career.
